Prologue:
The Masters of the Rookery
Prologue 01 - Stargard
The City of Stargard
Year 1174 - Menhir 45
Task: Scout out Stargard
Teachers: Peter & Deva Pocket
Students: Brok Kalla, Gehnmelfahl of Malkuth, Sophia and Helena Brevere.
Report:
The Students and Teachers were called to the Rookery by Silas Ardeat, Master of the Rookery, for a training exercise. Sovereign Sigmud Grey called upon Silas' vow to the throne and the peoples of Vigfrid to scout out the city of Stargard and determine viability in taking back the city.
Brok and Deva listened in on part of the conversation between the two. They learn that Sigmund wants to keep all the people of Vigfrid in one city, beneath the light of the Great Tree Malkuth. But the people have pleaded to regain some of their homes back and leave the frigid mountains beneath the tree and Silas agrees with the people.
Sigmuns left irritated and Silas introduced them to Cid Fomalhaut, the Crystal Machinist.
The two of them along with Deva gave the students their tasks.
1 - Let the Students figure out their way. They are "In Charge". Obviously please don't let them die.
2 - Get into the central palace and see if the entrance to the mine is still accessible and see if the Star of Stargard is still there.
3 - Test out the ward stones. Take them at Night.
4 - Go to some of the main spots in town. See if there is anything of value there. Check the farms to see if there are any plants we don't have access to in other cities. Check the adventurers district for paperwork or books we dont have. Same with the University district. Old history books will be very helpful.
5 - Only if it isn't too dangerous, take out any large groups of creatures and try and make the town ready for us to come and take it back from the darkness that is Night.
Eager to take on the task at hand, the group requested Peter teleport them to the city. They made their way in after appearing a short ways south of the city. They decided to search the grounds as they headed for the outer city walls and along with finding trails left behind by some sort of hound, they noted that portions of the outer walls still stood mostly unbroken.
Following the tracks, Brok stumbled upon a store of metals beneath the rubble of the city that they marked for future use.
They followed signs of the dogs into a university building, Sophia going in to scout ahead. Brok took this time to scout the exterior of the building and found one of the hounds torn to pieces
The whole group entered after hearing this and quickly found the culprit. Night Walkers. The remnants of men and women that were never able to escape the darkness of night. The creatures tried consuming the students wanting to consume the light of their souls.
During this, Deva decided to test the students and their ward stones in a more serious manner, finding their inability to quickly enter a darkened building foul.
She spilled her blood along the ground, drawing out the creatures of the night for a taste of the powerful fluid. At the same time Peter began assisting the students using his immense magical prowess, drawing out the creatures of night even further.

Knight & Gvyllgi
The hounds found their way to the blood and after consuming it, began to grow in power, their form combining into one massive beast. The Mutant Hound broke its way into the building, causing the students and even Peter to panic even more. With this new beast before them and the Night Walkers behind them, Peter tried to even the playing field again by blocking off part of the building with a wall of magical force blades. This last casting of powerful magics in the first moments of Night pushed the scales further against the students.
In the first hours of Night, the use of Magics and Rituals and power almost alaways causes the Night itself to respond, seeking to snuff out the Light of Whatever soul created such efects.
Knight, A being Deva and Peter had fought before, rose up and the Mutated Shadow Hound became Knight's Hound, Gvyllgi.
This shift in the scales of Battle was exactly what Deva was searching for, allowing her to join the frey. Knight struck down Helena in an instant and nearly destroyed her before Peter and Deva swept in and saved the Student. Not wanting to be hindered by the Students, Deva sent them all off to the center of the city to deal with the Mine and find the Heart of Stagard.
The battle that raged behind the students as they fled levelled more of the city that the past few hundred years of decay ever could. Deva and Knight battled, Flame, Lightning and Shadow.
The students quickly made their way to the Central Palace and made their way in through a massive break in the wall. Finding the center of the palace only took a few minutes, all the while the building shook from the battle raging within the city. Within the central room, they found a hole going down into the mine beneath the city but no sign of the massive crystal Heart.
Only Peters eyes caught sight of the invisible creature that snuck out of the Mines entrance. Without a word he seared away the creatures invisibility.
The strange creature before them introduced itself to them As Obsidna, the Cave Dragon that had lived within the mines for millenia. In stead of immediately battling the creature, much to Brok's dismay, they decided to instead bargain with it. Allowing the creature to make a deal with any who moved into the city similar to the deals it made in times past. Protect the Heart and Mine and in exchange the people would provide the dragon with "exotic" foods. Rabbit's seemed to be Obsidna's prefered meal.
They also agreed not to give the Dragon away to Deva. But that agreement said nothing about Deva coming to speak to the Dragon on her own. Making a second deal, Deva vowed that the city of Stargard would be neutral territory when it came to the Pact of Dragons, allowing Obsidna to keep her hoard but that Obsidna would protect not just the mine but ALL things the light of the Great Heart touched. Obsidna agreed and gave the students the Heart. Gehnmelfahl took this opportunity to raise the heart on high using his connection to the tree Malkuth to manipulate the roots beneathe them. With the City having a source of protection from the darkness of Night, the students had completed their mission. But Deva rated them relatively poorly for their foolish and timid actions.

Prologue 02 - Blackwood, White Owl
The City of Cassas
Year 1241 - Zephyr 12
Task: Distract the creatures of the Blackwood
Teachers: Silas Ardeat, Peter & Deva Pocket
Students: Brok Kalla, Gehnmelfahl of Malkuth, Sophia and Helena Brevere.
Report:
Silas brought the students to the recently rebuilt city of Cassas. Cassas was one of the biggest cities of Vigfrid's past and a major travel and trading hub and is one of the first cities brought back into the grasp of the People.
The Rookery was called upon by "Her King" to assist in the erecting of the final section of permanent Wall surrounding the city. Sigmund Grey sent a missive stating that he wanted The Schools "Best and Bravest" to assist him by distracting the creatures outside the city in the Blackwood while he raised the section of wall himself. They were to be the puppets for the Grandstander.
The group met up with Silas nearby a local Merchant outpost friendly with Sophia, The Windrider's Emporium. The group gathered supplies and checked their gear before heading to the wall and meeting Silas.
The group found Sigmund at an in outfitted as a home away from home for the monarch. His servants and guards all at his beck and call.
He ignored the group until Peter and Silas began speaking to him, the former doing so out of irritation more than anything.
He plainly stated their job, to go into the woods and be loud and obnoxious , and asked if that was too difficult a concept for the group. This only led to more irritation and a back and forth of words that ended with Silas quieting his students and his Senior teacher. Sigmund seemed annoyed that Deva wasnt with the group and questioned her location only for Silas to brush him off.
The Students and Peter took it upon themselves to then relieve Sigmund of a half dozen platters of food. Peter initially tried to teleport the group and the food out of the building but was disconnected from his magic momentarily at a word from Sigmund. Not wanting to show their surprise, the group simply ran out of the building with the trays of food.

The Blackwood
They spread this food among some of the soldiers preparing themselves for the dropping of the temporary wall. and put themselves in the best location for their part of the days events.
Sigmund arrived and in a show of power, knocked down the pre-existing wall, allowing for soldiers to head out beyond the wall and for workers to begin the work of gathering the materials needed for Sigmund to raise up the new portion of the wall with its new light holding material . The boom of the wall falling was the Rookery's sign to run into the Blackwood beyond and draw any awakened creatures away from the city.
They made sure to show the city who was heading out into danger to protect them and stepped into the darkness beyond.
